CDS-I Primary Caregiver Child File: For this release of the CDS-I PCG-Child interview, we constructed 17 new variables, coded “0” for INAP values, and constructed detailed codebook descriptions for each variable. The Food Security raw score, scale value, and status indicator have been added to the 1997 PCG Child File, where the individual question items are located. A separate file is no longer available in the data center. Newly constructed variables are, as follows (See codebook descriptions for more specifics and the CDS-I User Guide Supplement for construction methodology):

* Child BMI and weight status;
* Child Positive Behaviors Scale;
* Behavior Problems Index Total, Internalizing, and Externalizing scores, constructed using the same methodology as in CDS-II (original BPI variables using average score values are still available);
* Measures about the PCG, including parental warmth, self-esteem, self-efficacy, psychological distress, parenting disagreement, aggravation in parenting;
